Description:

SUU Outdoor Pathways is looking for a student to help power real-world conservation work by making digital content accessible for the US Forest Service! You’ll team up with SUU and USFS partners to test and evaluate websites, software, and documents for accessibility, ensuring crucial public resources can reach everyone. Gain hands-on experience with digital compliance, partner support, and high-impact project documentation while building resume-ready skills in a collaborative environment.

This internship is part of the Fall 2026 Professional Internship Program. To be eligible for the program you must:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional notetaking for various program and application development meetings.
  • Create video tutorials for accessibility testers.
  • Complete Section 508 accessibility compliance reviews, documentation and remediation research for FIA applications and documents.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to problem solve.
  • Attend team meetings and provide updates.

Qualifications:

  • Be enrolled as an SUU student during the course of the internship.
  • Have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Be willing to work 10 to 20 hours per week.
  • Provide thoughtful responses in your application.

Qualiffications Preferred:

  • Full time student enrolled at SUU (preferably in the computer sciences, life sciences, or multidisciplinary field)
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills in person and in writing
